App Rescue
Already have an app? We'll take it from here.
Bright Bridge takes responsibility for applications other people built — whether the app is in trouble, simply unowned, or working fine and in need of a permanent engineering team. We assess what exists, stabilize what matters, move operational control into the right accounts, and keep the application running. The goal is not to sell a rebuild.

The situations that bring people here.
The original developer is unavailable
Messages go unanswered and nobody is sure who can safely change the application.
The current agency relationship is ending
The work needs a new technical team without an interruption in service.
The app works and just needs a long-term team
Nothing is broken. You want a stable engineering team responsible for updates, monitoring, and improvements.
An AI-built app needs production engineering
The first version works. Production readiness, security, and reliability are the next step.
You aren't sure who controls the infrastructure
Domain, hosting, repository, and credentials need to be located and documented.
The app needs hardening before growth
More users, more data, or more revenue is coming and the system should be ready for it.
Review, assess, then stabilize what matters.
01
Free Ownership & Risk Review
Free
A 45-minute first-pass review of domain/DNS control, hosting, repository ownership/access, credential inventory, and backup status.
A written findings memo explaining what appears healthy and where control/risk questions remain. No code access is necessarily required for this initial step.
02
Production Readiness / Takeover Assessment
$3,500
Delivered in 5 business days. We review architecture, security, stability, scalability, code health, infrastructure, maintainability, test coverage where applicable, ownership/access recovery, and production readiness. Every issue is categorized as fix now, monitor, or plan for later.
A written assessment you own: what the application is, what condition it is in, what should be addressed first, and what ongoing maintenance would involve. It is a real deliverable whether or not you continue with us.
03
Stabilization
$15,000–$50,000 typical
The actual scope depends on what the assessment finds. Takeover does not automatically mean rebuild.
Possible work includes security hardening, access and authentication, infrastructure, deployment reliability, error handling, backups, monitoring, dependency and platform upgrades, critical bugs, data-model issues, and code cleanup.

Move first. Cut over second.
Where the existing application and access situation allow it, Bright Bridge recreates or replicates the required setup in client-controlled accounts while the existing environment keeps running. The new environment is verified before cutover.
Nothing cuts over until the new environment has been verified and the client approves the move.
Operational control
The Safe Landing approach is designed to put core operational accounts — domain, hosting, repository, monitoring, and infrastructure where feasible — under client control rather than leaving them dependent on Bright Bridge for access.

Remains available through configuration, verification, testing, and approval where the situation allows.

Production-app maintenance is a different product from Managed Websites. It carries materially different engineering responsibility.
App rescue questions.
Will you tell me the app needs a rebuild?
Only if the assessment shows that. Takeover does not automatically mean rebuild. The goal is to understand what can stay and make the system production-ready.
What does the free review include?
A 45-minute first-pass review of domain/DNS control, hosting, repository ownership and access, credential inventory, and backup status, followed by a written findings memo.
What do I get for the $3,500 assessment?
A written assessment covering architecture, security, stability, code health, infrastructure, ownership and access, and production readiness, with every issue categorized as fix now, monitor, or plan for later. You keep it whether or not you continue with us.
Do you work on apps built with AI tools?
Yes. We use modern AI development tools too. We evaluate the actual application and configuration rather than the tool that produced the first version.
How does the takeover avoid downtime?
Where the application and access situation allow it, we stand up the new environment in client-controlled accounts while the existing one keeps running, verify it, and only cut over once you approve the move.
